Reading Circles

The summer reading circles will form around the books listed below. Reading circles will meet bi-weekly, and books will be provided. (To learn more about these reading selections, click on the links below.) Facilitator: Cyndy Ruszkowski, CTLT

Writing Circles

Two different kinds of faculty writing circles will meet bi-weekly to write, read, and respond to each other’s work. Facilitator: Claire Lamonica, CTLT

Professional Writing

Writing a book? A chapter? An article? Writing in your discipline? Writing about the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning? Join the crowd! This group will focus supporting writers who want to publish their work in academic forums.
Initial Meeting: Monday, May 21, 10 – 11:30 am, ITDC Building (301 S. Main St.)

Personal Writing

Spend some time communing with your muse this summer and discover how writing can support personal as well as professional growth and development. This group will focus on supporting writers who want to write for fun, fulfillment, and/or self-discovery.
Initial Meeting: Monday, June 11, 10 – 11:30 am, ITDC Building (301 S. Main St.)

Portfolio Circles

Don’t succumb to the “procrastination bug”! If you’ve been nominated for an Outstanding University Teaching Award, summer is the time to start working on your portfolio. These bi-weekly circle meetings can provide guidance, support, and much-needed deadlines, allowing you to start the fall semester with your portfolio well on its way to completion. Facilitator: John Bantham, MQM.
