The newly furnished Resource Commons area in the Instructional Technology and Development Center has moved to the front of the building for more convenient access by all faculty. Our resource holdings consist of books, videos, and handouts focused on teaching and learning. We intend to support faculty teaching endeavors in any way we can. Please let us know what we can do for you.
Our listings of texts on instructional issues are listed alphabetically by author, title, and topic. We have linked book reviews to some of our holdings, with more reviews to come. Bibliographies by topic are also being developed so you can quickly identify resources available on campus, including books, videos, and papers. We will continue to build the resources in our Commons area, so please let us know of any books, videos, or handouts you have found useful to add to our collection. Click here to recommend a resource you would like to see us make available concerning teaching/learning strategies.
We would also like to know your opinion of any of the resources we carry that you have used. Click here to send an email to us expressing your review or opinion that we can include with our listings.
The name “Commons” was selected to reinforce the notion that this location is an area for faculty to assemble, learn, and relax. Our Resource Commons area is available for meetings, classes, reading, or informal chats. We offer comfortable seating, the latest technology, and “bottomless” coffee/tea for your convenience and pleasure. Be sure to check us out next time you deliver your Opscan forms, or just stop in for a warm drink on a cold day.
