Blackboard Workshops- Additional section now open! The Blackboard course management system can be a useful tool for your face-to-face, blended or online courses. Engaging Students in Large Classrooms Workshop Come benefit from the collective wisdom of seasoned campus professionals who’ve used research and personal experiences to address large classroom issues such as what’s important on the first day of class, how to motivate discussion, how to use humor effectively, and how to share the teaching load. When “Students Can’t Write”: Strategies for Coping Workshop In this two-day workshop you’ll have a chance to (re)design an individualized approach to student writing. Topics will include designing rigorous and engaging writing assignments, supporting effective peer response and editing practices, providing formative feedback, effective and efficient assessment practices, and more.
